Walkerville Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Walkerville Baptist Church.
Ages 0- 2 years are in our Nursery. They meet for Sunday School, Worship service, and Wednesday evenings.
Ages 3-Grade 5 are in our Kid's Ministry. They meet in their age appropriate class for Sunday School and on Wednesday Nights. Kid's Ministry leader is Beth Barber, 912-282-6051
Grades 6-12 are in our A2J Ministry. Bible lessons are taught on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. The youth ministry of Walkerville Baptist Church is recognized for their close interaction. Youth Pastor is Brandon Shuman, 912-387-3399.
Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of Walkerville Baptist Church provides a welcoming atmosphere for early aged young people. They meet during Sunday School and on Wednesday nights for Bible Study.
WOW (Women of Walkerville) gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s group shares times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church. We meet once a month for Bible Study & sharing. For more information call, 912-288-6460
Accountability among men is an act of integrity. Accountability is designed to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages. Our Men's Ministry participates in a visitation program, bible study/conferences, etc. Our Men's Ministry Director is Floyd Russell, 912-390-1945.
Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the over-60 group of Walkerville Baptist invite you to become a part of their dynamic fellowship! Their purpose is to provide occasions for fellowship, adventure and Christian ministry A mentoring ministry gives older believers a chance to meet with and help younger believers grow in Christ.
Sunday School is the foundational strategy at Walkerville Baptist for leading people to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and for building on-mission Christians through Bible study that engages people in evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, ministry, and worship.
